I thought it would be fun to give you a tour of my home. The Hong Kong wall. It's full of pictures from my trip to Hong Kong and some of my favorite pictures of Ella and Julia. The elephant is my favorite thing. It sat in a box for years at my Dad's old house and I got it when he sold the house.
And then there is the roaring fireplace. It's electric heat. I wish I had the option to have it on, but without any heat coming out of it. Salem just recently learned that she can sit on top and feel the hot air blowing out the top of the fireplace. Off-white carpet and black cats is possibly the worst combination. I have contemplated shaving the cats. The floors need to be vaccumed every day to stop the clumps of black fur from showing up.
Any episode of Cribs isn't complete without a look in the fridge! Pretty well stocked, this is enough for maybe a week. I've got 8 heads of lettuce (Costco), carrots, spinach, apples, cucumber, cellery, figs, miscellaneous fruits and greens, coconut water, coconut oil (moisturizer), hummus and some wine and lemmoncello.
And on the counter is the fruit section: kiwi, avocado, tomato, apples, oranges, ginger and bananas. I have a 3 bunch minimum for bananas now. 1 bunch that I'm eating, and 2 bunches ripening. I have been eating about 3-4 bananas a day. I usually put them in my smoothie. My dinner smoothie is often banana, kale, almond milk, water, dates and vegan protein powder, I'll have a salad as well if I'm still hungry. This is not going to last a week because the oranges and apples make up the base of a lot of the juices I make. My new favorite, is spinach-orange-apple. I could drink this all day long, it doesn't matter how much spinach you add, it still tastes like orange juice. Luckily, I now have a Costco membership and can stock up on the organic spinach. Other than that, I found Costco to be expensive for produce.
