Monotheism

I heard on the radio today that Gwyneth Paltrow had her baby. The report said that they had named him Carrot. I actually don't see anything wrong with that. But then I saw online that they named him Moses! So they went from Apple (very original) to Moses (very traditional.) I think I like Carrot better- I don't really like common names. Actually Carrot would have been fitting as Chris Martin and Gwyneth are both veggie-tarians. I'm thinking Nefrusobek or Hatchepsut are good names maybe that's what I'll name my first kid. Huge points to anyone who can tell me why or why this post is titled Monotheism.

Monotheism is a word coined in comparatively modern times to designate belief in the one supreme God, the Creator and Lord of the world, the eternal Spirit, All-powerful, All-wise, and All-good, the Rewarder of good and the Punisher of evil, the Source of our happiness and perfection. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are the principal monotheistic religions.

Maatkare Hatshepsut or Hatchepsut was the fifth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Hatshepsut is generally regarded by modern Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, ruling longer than any female ruler of an indigenous dynasty. She was one of the most prolific builders of Ancient Egypt, commissioning hundreds of construction projects throughout both Upper and Lower Egypt and under her reign Egypt's trade networks began to be rebuilt. She is believed to have ruled from 1503 BC to 1482 BC. Hatshepsut is regarded variously as the earliest known queen regnant in history, as the first known female to take the title Pharaoh, and the first great woman in history, although all of these claims have been contested.

Nefrusobek is the first known female king to have had a full royal titulary. Her titulary still shows the typical ending t for feminine words, thus combining the traditionally male titles with the reality that Nefrusobek was a woman.

So I am guessing these would be names for your first GIRL, right? Cause if you named a boy that, he might grow up with a complex. So do you believe in one supreme female veggie-tarian god? And how many points to I get? Can I convert them into Shoppers points?

yes, they were the first Queens of Egypt, very rare- although Nefrusobek maybe wasn't. Maybe for a boy Akhenaten. This one is easy though- he is belived to be King Tut's dad. Don't you think that any child named for a pharaoh would have a complex? And Monotheism- you are close-has nothing to do with veggies. I'll give it another day.

Points are redemable for mini eggs

Are you suggesting that Moses is a common name?

Well I am rather ignorant on the ins and outs of religion but I'm gonna take a shot. Is it because Moses brought the Ten Commandments down from the mountain and one of them was 'Thou shalt have no other god before me'?
If I'm right, am I too late for Mini-Eggs?

Ding Ding Ding! Moses is the one that pushed the one God idea. In Christianity anyways. Monotheism also existed in Egypt and a bunch of other religions.

Moses is a very traditional name. And a very common name for Mennonites and Amish people. Every other Friesen was named Moses. That or Abraham and Cornelius.

Mini Eggs are the equivalent of Crystal Meth- once you try it you'll do anything to get more- even search the internet for useless trivia answers.

Does that make you an Mennonite drug dealer?

I didn't search the internet! Honest, I came up with it on my own! And wow, I got it! You can send the Mini Eggs to my Edmonton address, Hilary, I'll be there in a couple of weeks. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Ever listen to the Fox's 'Damn Near Freak'n Impossible Trivia'? Love that segment.

Good job Micah. Good to know I would have mailed your prize to your grandparents' house.

Sarah you didn't use the internet? Yeah! I can't count how many times I've heard you say "Maatkare Hatshepsut or Hatchepsut was the fifth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt."

Yeah those bloody Whopper Eggs are good, more like crack though. Didn't I just send you like 5 lbs of chocolate last week? I'll buy more tonight, I gotta make whitney a easter basket.
